This is how it works!

The competition consists of a number of steps testing your skills, knowledge and motivation.

Step 1: Sign up

Register for the challenge at Log in using the email and password combination you used to register.

Step 2: IQ quiz

The first quiz will test your logical and numerical reasoning skills with a 10-question IQ quiz.

Step 3: Innovation and Sustainability

This multiple-choice quiz that will assess your knowledge of innovation and sustainability issues.

Step 4: Swedish Higher Education

Put your knowledge about Swedish Higher Education to the test in Quiz #3.

Step 5: Case question & personal motivation

In this step you will answer an essay question pertaining to sustainability, environmental issues and innovation and their application in India.
You will also be asked to explain briefly why you should be selected as the winner of Challenge Yourself India 2015. This is your chance to impress us with your personal motivation!

Step 6: Share your profile with your friends

The recommendations you collect when you share your public profile with friends and family will be weighed alongside your quiz results, essay response and personal motivation. In the case that participants have the same quiz and essay results, recommendations and the personal motivation will play a decisive role in determining the winner. So share your profile and collect as many recommendations as possible to increase your chances of winning!

Screening process

  • All participants will be judged according to their overall performance and results in the competition (quizzes, case question and personal statement).
  • Student Competitions will shortlist the top 20 candidates and announce them on the competition website.
  • A jury consisting of university representants and Student Competitions will review the 20 final candidates and determine the winners.
  • The first prize winner and the runners up will be published on the competition website no later than December 19, 2014.

Winner travels to Sweden: anytime during 2015


The competition is open for participation to Indian citizens or legal residents that are either:

  • currently enrolled at an Indian university (Bachelor's or Master's level)
  • OR holding a Bachelor's degree from an Indian university

Swedish citizens are not eligible to participate in the competition, nor are non-Swedish students currently enrolled at a Swedish university.

Terms & Conditions

When registering an account for the competition, it is necessary to accept Student Competitions' Terms & Conditions, which apply for all competitions organised by Student Competitions AB. These include:

  • All users must provide submissions that the user has created him/herself
  • All users must provide personal information that is truthful and accurate
  • Student Competitions reserves the right to exclude users at their sole discretion

Additional Rules


  • Only one entry is accepted per participant
  • All participation in the competition must be individual


  • No prize alternatives or cash equivalents are offered
  • Prizes are non-transferable
  • The winner is solely responsible for all applicable taxes related to the acceptance of the prize
  • The winner must make use of the prize during 2015


  • The jury consisting of representatives from Student Competitions and the participating partners reserve the right to choose the winner at their sole discretion
  • The jury also reserves the right to choose fewer than the predetermined number of winners if, at the jury’s sole discretion, an insufficient number of eligible and/or qualified entries are received
  • Incomplete and/or inaccurate entries and entries not complying with all rules are subject to disqualification
  • Student Competitions reserve the right to change these terms at any time
  • The terms are governed by Swedish law and therefore you submit to the jurisdiction of the Swedish courts
